About Sharon Lewis
An alumna of California State University, Chico, Sharon Lewis continued her education at the University of San Francisco, where she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis on marital and family therapy. While studying for her graduate degree, Sharon Lewis served as a trainee in a women’s advocacy organization and an intern at Alcohol and Drug Services. After graduation, she accepted an internship at the San Joaquin Sexual Assault Center in Stockton, California, where she worked primarily with women and children who had experienced sexual molestation or rape. Moreover, Ms. Lewis fielded crisis intervention calls around the clock. She also assisted in the training of new employees, teaching them how to maintain appropriate records and offer the best counseling services. For three years, she also acted as an intern at a marriage and family practice that counsels from the family systems perspective, offering treatment to individuals, families, couples, and children. In 1992, Sharon Lewis opened her own practice, through which she continues to offer therapy services to individuals and couples with an emphasis on in-depth psychology.
